More about the Rabbit
In June 2014, we said good bye to an old friend.
The giant Norway Spruce that had been an important part of the landscape of Richmond and our candy shop, since 1926.
The tree was dying. And although it pained us tremendously, we were advised by several arborists that the best thing to do was to take it down.
The following link will take you to a blog and sort of eulogy for the tree, written by third generation candymaker Leif Anderson.

After the tree was cut down, the tall stump that remained was carved in the form of a giant chocolate rabbit - inspired by some of our own antique molds!
We have had lots of fun dressing our new rabbit friend up for holidays and watching families take pictures with the Big Bunny!
