By now, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably become accustomed to us using this space to share updates and news regarding our site. Although these past few weeks we’ve been working extra hard to get products loaded onto the website, there’s still plenty to be done. As we head into our busiest time of year, we know that many of you will be looking for specific products to give as gifts and treats to family and friends.
We know how important it is to get this holiday season right. Which is why we want to start this post off by saying that we still sell almost everything you remember from past holiday seasons. So below we will cover some of those items that are not currently available on the website that many of you may be looking for.
First, solid chocolate 3-D Santas. You won’t find any three-dimensional, solid chocolate Santa molds online, yet. To understand why they aren’t here (YES! The are available to order by PHONE or IN PERSON at our shops!) you need to know one important fact. We make our 3-D molds by hand, one at a time, using antique silver and tin equipment. There are only so many made each holiday season because of this.
The way the website works, it is hard for us to limit how many could be “sold” from our stock online at any given moment. And while we would love the revenue, we don’t want to drain our brick-and-mortar shops from website demand. We just feel like that isn’t fair to our local customers.
In short, if you’d like three-dimensional chocolate Santas, give us a call at 815-678-6000 or stop into either our Richmond or Barrington shop today.
Second, custom boxes. We know that many people like to get custom made boxed assortments this time of year. And we intend to create a way for this to be possible on our site, eventually. But in the meantime, if you’d like a box of all one center like Molasses chip or a mix of just your favorites – maybe ginger and cinnamon stick – please give us a call.
We cannot support making custom boxes for everyone, so please try to order early if you need something special made for you! Don’t wait until the last minute.
Finally, let’s discuss the BEST way to try and find your favorites. As mentioned earlier, we have loaded a lot of products onto this website so there’s a good chance we have exactly what you are looking for. We get that navigating a new site is tricky at times. Thankfully, this site’s search feature is great! So, if you know what you are looking for and you just can’t find it, try giving the search bar a try.
